Congratulations to the Tierra Canyon "Eclipse" 10U All Stars Team!

10U All Star Minor Team - TC Eclipse

This past spring, Tierra Canyon Girls Fastpitch felt there were enough skilled players to field two 10U minor all-star teams. The second team, TC Eclipse, played a key role in the continued development of the league. The Eclipse played a dedicated brand of softball that was highly competitive, while getting valuable experience along the way.

Playing in five tournaments during the 2009 all-star season, the Eclipse started strong in the Clairemont Memorial Tournament and received a number two seed heading into bracket play. They ended up getting stopped by the first 10U all-star team, TC Venom. The battle of TierraCanyon went to the Venom, but the Eclipse gave them all they could handle. It was a hard fought game on both sides.

The Eclipse also played in the Mira Mesa Runway Classic, Tournament Del Sol and the Poway Summer Heat Classic, playing tough games against Vista, Clairemont Blue, and Escondido. The team ended the season playing a tough tournament in French Valley called "The Heat is On", while playing their best game of the season beating Barstow 15-4 in 100-degree heat.
